Thank you for participating in this media diary study. Your responses are very important and will help us understand how people use television, radio, and online streaming services. Please read the instructions carefully before you begin.

1. General Instructions

Please complete the diary every day for the full recording period. Record your media use as soon as possible after listening or viewing, so that the information is accurate. Complete all sections of the diary, even if you did not use any media on a particular day. If you did not watch or listen to any media during a time period, clearly indicate “No media used”.

2. What to Record

For each media activity, please record:

• The time you started and stopped watching or listening.
• The type of service (e.g. cable TV, radio via Internet streaming etc.).
• The service provider (e.g. TV6, I95.5, FLOW, Netflix etc.).
• The channel, station, platform, or service used.
• The programme watched or listened to.
• The type of content (local or foreign).
• The device used (e.g. TV set, radio, mobile phone, tablet, computer).
• Where watched or listened to.

3. Television Viewing

Record all television viewing, including:

• Free-to-air television.
• Cable or satellite television.
• Television content viewed via apps or streaming services on a TV screen.

If the television was on but you were not actively watching, do not record it.
ONLY RECORED TV ACTIVITY IF YOU WATCHED FOR 15 MINUTES OR MORE IN A SESSION.

4. Radio Listening

Record radio listening on any device, including:

• Traditional radio sets.
• Car radios.
• Mobile phones or computers.

Include both live broadcasts and online radio streams.
ONLY RECORED TV ACTIVITY IF YOU WATCHED FOR 10 MINUTES OR MORE IN A SESSION.

5. Online and Streaming Media

Record viewing or listening via:

• Streaming platforms (e.g. video-on-demand, catch-up TV).
• Online video or audio services.

Do not include activities such as social media browsing unless you were watching or listening to media content.

6. One Entry per Time Period

For each time slot, select or record only one main media activity, as instructed. If you switch media (for example, from TV to radio), record each activity in the appropriate time period.

7. Accuracy and Honesty

There are no right or wrong answers. Please record your media use honestly and accurately, even if it differs from your usual habits.

8. Completing the Diary

Review your diary at the end of each day to ensure it is complete. Return the completed diary as instructed at the end of the recording period.
